Freddie gets busted--Part 1

In this episode of The Jake and Elaine Show, Elaine returns from a visit to Freddy's apartment convinced that something sneaky is taking place. After hearing mysterious singing, watching Freddy freeze in panic, and seeing Isabella rush to cover for him, Elaine spots a young woman sitting in Freddy’s office. Convinced that Freddy is hiding a secret girlfriend with Isabella's help, Elaine rushes to inform her sister Amparo, determined that a mother needs to know what her grown kids are up to.

Amparo, a fiery Navy veteran, reacts with immediate shock and indignation at the idea of her devout, church-going son harboring a woman in his apartment. Despite Elaine's pleas to stay calm and avoid jumping to conclusions, Amparo formulates a tactical plan to catch Freddy red-handed by showing up unannounced for breakfast instead of their scheduled lunch. The confrontation culminates in a classic sitcom cliffhanger when Amparo barges through Freddy's front door, catches sight of the woman, and demands an immediate explanation.
